“We are to grow up in all aspects into Him who is the head, even Christ, from whom the whole body, being fitted and held together by what every joint supplies, according to the proper working of each individual part, causes the growth of the body for the building up of itself in love.” Ephesians 4:15b-16 (NASB)

Welcome to the Great Commission Women of the Northeastern District web site.

We are women of The Christian and Missionary Alliance who embrace The Alliance core values in our ministry.  We support our international workers serving around the world through prayer and sacrificial giving.  We also pray for our pastors and constituents throughout the Northeastern District as we serve each one of you.  Our mission is to Live the Word, Do the Work and Reach the World!

God’s Positioning System – Placed for a Purpose is the emphasis this year.  The theme verse is found in Acts 17:26b – 27a, “…He determined the times set for them and the exact places where they should live.  God did this so that men would seek Him…”  Our spiritual emphasis and suggested Bible study is seeking God, In HIM we live and move and have our being…” Acts 17:28a.  God has placed many of our international workers in areas of the world to minister to the Diaspora (large groups of people with similar heritage or homeland who have moved to places all over the world).  This is where the 2015-2016 national project will be used to help The Alliance provide opportunities to the Diaspora people to hear the gospel for the very first time through key ministry initiatives.

We have set our District GCW goal for this project at $20,000 and are trusting God that we will raise even more than our goal.  We encourage local churches to set a faith-filled goal as well.  We have until mid-August, 2016 to give towards this project.  Some ideas for raising funds are sponsoring a walk-a-thon, special fundraising dinner, love offering and many other ideas you may have.

My challenge to you is to seek God, grow in your walk, see how He has placed you for His purpose and then ask Him how He can use you to proclaim God’s message to reach this world for Christ!

In His Service,
